I am re-reading Essentialism by Greg McKeown. It is one of the best books I have ever read and the one which started me on a path of eliminating unnecessary distractions in my life.
It has been about 15-months since I initially read the book and there have been many changes in my life. Most of them positive. Specifically, I constantly look for items to remove from my daily life. Really anything that is not of true importance, for example, unnecessary meetings, mindless web-surfing, movies which don't align with my beliefs, and more.
This one quote nicely sums up the book.
Take a look at what you do on a daily basis. What can be eliminated? The goal is to remove anything which distracts you from your personal and professional aspirations.
